Josh at the Movies
Branding
Role: Creative Direction, Design Execution
Software: Illustrator
Project: The logo and palette were created for a passion project I started with a friend, called Josh at the Movies (https://joshatthemovies.com/). The website reviews upcoming film and television shows, covers major film festivals, and conducts interviews with cast members and directors.
Interviews
Role: Creative Direction, Design Execution, Videography
Software: Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere
Project: I have learned to coordinate, prepare for, and conduct interviews with the cast and creative team of many notable films. The posters serve as the templated key art for each interview. Custom zoom backgrounds for each virtual interview are created in hommage to the film’s narrative or key art, using the title card as a logo. In this way, our brand is differentiated from many other comparable outlets. I filmed the red carpet interview footage and sound (b-roll was provided by the festival), and acted as a creative director for the video editing and production.
Placeholder Key Art for Film Festival Premieres & Events
Industries: Digital Media, Entertainment, Film, Television
Company: Josh at the Movies
Role: Concept, Design Execution, Photography for Harry Potter Store Launch
Software: Photoshop
Project: These posters were designed as placeholders for films premiering at festivals that were lacking key art at the time of review publication. The Harry Potter poster was created for coverage surrounding the store launch in New York. Title cards from the actual films were used on these posters to maintain the intended branding from the distributors or production companies.
